This powerful method sends out a message immediately to any would be perpetrator that ‘CCTV is in operation’. Studies have shown sharp reductions in criminal activity where CCTV systems are in operation. The rise in town centre CCTV systems has in many cases reduced crime in the town, however often activity then moves out to industrial and business estates. Access Control

Given the environment we live in today, the days of free access to all parts of commercial properties is rapidly coming to an end. More and more the ability to determine in advance who can have access to certain areas of commercial properties is appealing to company management. Many companies now operate a ‘sterile’ area in reception to which callers and members of the public can have access, but thereafter, access to other parts of the site are controlled.

Many organisations now undertake works that are commercially sensitive, require bonded stores or even for health & safety reasons have to have restricted access.

The use of manual release buttons, coded panels, biometric or proximity readers to gain access to sensitive areas enables users to control personnel access. Many also use Access Control systems as a control measure to be able to track building usage or immediately change threat level. Stand-alone and PC based systems are tailored to suit individual requirements.

Door Entry

Door entry systems from simple single door panels linked to remote telephone points through multi-point systems allowing access to houses of multiple occupancy allow occupants to identify and allow or deny access to the premises.

Door entry systems can be built to suit each individual requirement. Using hybrid combinations, of speech only, vision and speech, or even speech, vision and coded access.
