Life Cycle Perspective

Lifeline Alarm Systems Ltd. cares about your wellbeing and the wellbeing of future generations. We have implemented an ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, ensuring that every stage of your product’s life cycle—from design to end-of-life—is managed to minimize environmental impact without compromising quality.

Design and Purchasing

Lifeline Alarm Systems specifies only the most suitable products through rigorous quality and environmental approval systems. Our manufacturing partners ensure that components are sourced with quality and the environment at the forefront, complying with ISO 14001:2015 requirements.

Delivery

Items are supplied using environmentally friendly methods and packaging where practical. Most packaging is re-used after quality checks. All empty packaging from installations is returned to us for recycling or disposal in accordance with local authority rules.

Installation & Maintenance

  • Respectful Installation: Our entire team is trained to install systems with the environment in mind.

  • Guided Usage: We provide handbooks and specific instructions to ensure correct use, which maximizes system efficiency and environmental friendliness.

  • Ongoing Maintenance: A maintenance agreement ensures your system is maintained year-on-year, increasing the lifespan of products to their maximum potential.

Transportation Controls

  1. Eco-Friendly Vehicles: Vehicles are selected and maintained based on overall environmental impact and lifetime cost.

  2. Reusable Storage: We utilize reusable transit storage to limit disposable waste.

  3. Recycling Logistics: Cardboard is transported back to our head office for redeployment or responsible disposal.

  4. Vehicle Tracking: Electronic tracking reduces unnecessary travel and monitors driving habits to ensure fuel efficiency.

  5. Driver Training: All staff are trained to adhere to high driving standards as outlined in the company vehicle policy.

  6. Performance Measuring: Strict maintenance schedules and fuel usage analysis ensure vehicles perform at optimum levels.

End of Life & Lifecycle Controls

Eventually, all systems reach their end of life. While disposal is generally the responsibility of the owner, Lifeline offers specific support:

  • System Replacement: If we install a new system for an existing client, we will remove the old system and dispose of it in accordance with our Waste Consignment Note and WEEE Directive notice.

  • Management Oversight: Lifecycle environmental impact is a permanent agenda point at Management Meetings to ensure sufficient control at all stages.

WEEE & Battery Directive
